Hi guys,
Normally it takes time for a new watch to be settling in, which is so called breaking-in period. Before that It may be sometimes running either fast or slow. Say my seadweller I bought three months ago, recenltly over a period of two weeks, it's been running incredibly accurately by only gaining one second fast. ONE SECOND FAST OVER TWO WEEKS! But it does not maintain such level too long, and then I found that it began running two seconds slow per day this week. For this matter, I've got to say there's al lot of factors involved, making it running inconsistently. For instance, you may not wear it most of the time and that would affect its accurancy. That's why people say a mechanical watch has its own personality, like a pet dog needing to be taken care of by its owner. I suggest you observe it for a while Wear it in good wealth. Best regards |

It's pretty normal that your 16610LV gains 30 seconds more in 10 days. As my own experience my 16610LV keeps very good time from the time I perchased it and there seems no breaking-in period for my watch. It runs normally +3 seconds per day and it runs consistently even if I wear it doing exertional physical exercise like swimming, long distance jogging, biking........There are many factors affecting the accuracy of a watch indeed esp those equipped with ETA or ETA based calibers but they have least influence on ROLEX. I also found you have only to wear it for at most 6 hours and it will keep perfect time for one day. My 16610LV does have its' own personality, it only tries its' best to do good service to me, no matter what.
I believe your 16610LV will do the same to you. Best regards submariner3135 在 星期四 2006-04-20 16:26 作了第 1 次修改 |

Yes, what I heard is the break-in period, wearing it for a weeks, then check it again, even with the current accuracy, that's 3sec/day which is within COSC's spec.
My 16613, so far 3 weeks, 6sec/9days, earlier, it is used to be 3sec/week, s it may go worse or better, anyway, hang in there. Congrat... by the way. _________________ ------------------------------------------------------------------ Charriol, Longines Flagship Chrono, JLC Master Geo, JLC Master Moon, Rolex TT 16613 |
