It doesn't really matter. 99.9999% of Rolex owners can not and will not dive deeper than 50M (or 150ft) in their lives. All Rolex Oyster models are of at least 100M rating. Any of them will be more "water proof" than almost all the owners. Recreational divers can't dive deeper than 22M/65ft. Advanced recreational divers can't dive deeper than 30M/120ft. You need to be a real commerical diver to reach 100M. Even if you do go that deep, I don't think you will dive with a Rolex anyway. You need to carry lots of heavy gears with you. You don't want to distract your mind by worrying about losing your Rolex - otherwise, you may lose your life in such a deep dive.
After all, except a few features of the Oyster Case, 16600 and 16610 are identical. For those few differences, you will not use them at all. Are you ever going to dig oil underwater in Alaska or jump out of a nuclear submarine? |
