I'm so glad to hear the prof. make this statement, because I totally agreed. Since I know so little about the history of Rolex, I was reluctant to comment on some of the dial+bezel combinations Rolex created... which were truly aesthetically disaster. This watch belong in that category. Does the bezel rotate on a DD? I believe not, then the emeralds on the bezel misaligned to the hour marker emeralds... creating a confusing unbalance. Such an odd looking Rolex. |

I believe that The bezzle was fixed originally With hour marker between every two emeralds on the bezzle That will avoid visul unbalance 
And I have a feeling that You know design stuff
