301 = 164 with polished bezel 500 pieces for K series not LE or SE Previously 164 has brushed bezel Now OP make a lsight change to use polished sating bezel ala 104 Personally, this is part of OP's drive to reduce cost by ensuring 164 (new 301K) uses the same standard case & bezel as in 104K that will be produced in huge 6500 pieces. I do not know is 164J will be the last of the brushed bezels. If so, 164J & before will be very collectibles. Also, I was told many times by my AD that this 301 could revert back to brushed bezel & this mean that the 301K could turnout to be another "ghost"...that's e potential with risks attached.... |

...a little bit of fact and a little bit of speculation: 1.) fact: the 301K is a one-time run of 500 pieces 2.) fact: difference from the 164 is the black gator strap vs. brown gator strap and polished case vs. brushed case (the 164 sports a brushed case with polished bezel; the 301 sports a polished case and bezel 3.) speculation: the 164 may be slated for discontinuance 4.) speculation: if you don't like the 164, you probably won't like the 301. 5.) 50% fact/50% speculation: the 301 is a "ghost" edition. |

i say the fact is 301 is the ghost because
1. its not on the catalog 2. not announced on basel 3. regular production normally start from 1000 or above blah blah blah hahah thanks for the info flex i saw those earlier on paneristi not sure if i should get it or not.... never pay attention to 164 before

I was offered 301 by AD, but passed, never pay attention to 164. I do have the 237 original ghost.
I think 301 is the ghost as it never put on the catalog, but only buy it if you like it, not because it is "ghost", who really care if it is or isn't. |

this is what i thot but i never actually owned a ghost and thats why i am kinda interested.. after a long journey collecting panerais i am not interested in resell value anymore, maybe this is why i dont kept 127 or 249s love to find something more interesting for my collections, such as shadow, ghost, slytech.. matching dial, etc etc something really have the 'panerai spirit' on it when i have more room (budget) for my collections, i will prolly add pvd and pre V to it. If you ever come across to something like that, please let me know, i am always ready to pick up a piece like that if the money is right for this ghost number 2, i say i will prolly just pass it

Brother gst, you are the truly pam collector with inspirational concert which put us together on this community, can't image this place without you~
If we talk about Panerai spirit', you shouldn't miss out 127 and 249 as you mentioned you had to get rid off them, I knew the re-sell values doesn't bother you, but don't you think they are one of Panerai's 'must have' items???? Of course, then we have pre- Vs', but that's something out of ordinary~~~ 
Just my 2cents, correct me if I'm wrong~~~

Brother gst, I kind of agreed with LVtCbyTc that for a true Panerai collection, a 127 is almost a MUST, then 249 is also another MUST. Of course, I would love to have a 21 or 203 in my line up as well, still searching for them, but I am afraid the price now is beyond my reach, but those will be the ultimate modern Panerais if you don't include the vintage and Pre-V modeals.
