It is really a marvellous watch indeed. Besides of admiring the watch, I am wondering, as one Swiss jounalist asks the same question, how JAW got the information. It is a world premiere report. 驚嘆號 驚嘆號

Of course, JAW did not answer the question. 耍酷

But, I have an answer, of course by reasonable assumption. 眼睛轉啊轉

"You build it, they will come."

The fact that thePuristS.com has become the definite internet on-line resouce for watch aficinados is the reason why its contributing authors and forum moderators get the access to so called secrets of the companies. Of course, the reason why thePuristS.com might have surpassing the TimeZone.com in many ways is multifactorial. But, a groups of enthusiasts, support from the global community, and most of all, support from local watch business, name it Singaporian, are the key factors. 眨眼

That is why a local journalist loacted not far away from Geneve, Le Sentier and Basel could not get the information, but the other thousands of miles away could get the exclusive.

I hope someday, WE, the Chinese-speaking consumers could grow stronger and entiled to the EXCLUSIVE information. And, it is the dream of me and all the WatchBus team. 哈 哈 哈 哈 哈 哈

Wah. Thanks for the "promotion"! I'm totally overwhelmed and embarassed. 害羞 害羞 害羞 At the same time, I want to thank you all for your appreciation. It makes everything worthwhile, as long as someone enjoys reading it.

I actually did not see it coming. I was scratching my head when I saw Omega's message. haha... Thought he was joking with me... 害羞 害羞

In addition to thewatcher's comment, this is how I feel about thepurists.

Thepurists offers a very unique channel of communication for watch companies, especially for rare timepieces. The site has a lot of focus on high end timepieces, and we all know those watches only go to a very few fortunate folks (being rich itself is not enough). I think a good number of its members belong to that exclusive club, so that's why it's probably better to go to the forum directly than placing an ad in watch magazines.

What's better than communicating to your target audience directly? (especially there aren't many of them to start out with) 眨眼

It works extremely well for Harry Winston, Jaquet Droz, and AHCI members. Harry Winston, for instance, has its people going there daily to see what the customers want. They also send out gifts for contests (I was fortunately enough to receive one from them, that's a different story tho), and provide information regarding future release.

One of the keys to thepurists success is that the moderators are extremely active and enthusiastic (Kind of like everyone here:lol:). Other than going to the site everyday, they're constantly communicating to the manufacturers and to its members; organizing contests (depending on the person and the forum); and writing up detailed report on watches or events. They are all very knowledgeable and respond to emails in a timely matter. If you want to experience it first hand, just email Marcus Hanke and say hi. It's always my pleasure to "bug" this guy.

Last, I wholeheartedly agree and hope that the watchbus can reach to that exclusive level, which manufacturers would look at us as a strategic "hub" for its Asian (Chinese speaking) market. Call if a "bus stop" if you wish, but that's the idea.

Maybe in a 100 years or so, PP would make a watchbus anniversary watch, just like the way they did for Wempe!!! ㄏㄏㄏ
