one interesting question, for swatch automatic, or most swatch watches, can they swim?

I know that flik flak, the children watch, can go swimming or even washed in washing machine.
So for normal swatch watches, the water resistant is cheaper than flik flak????? |

"Flik flak" also belongs to the Swatch group, too.
I'm not sure that if you can read Chinese words: http://www.taipeitoday.com.tw/modules/news/article.php?storyid=5251 There are some picture and informations from this site: http://www.flikflak.com/index.php Mostly I would like Seiko's more than Swatch's, the reasons are: 1.Some of Swatch's watch (as you can see the pictures above) can't be fixed. 2.Belt is quite different from other brand.(So I can't use another brand's belt) 3.As you see. most of Swatch's(I mean the brand, not the whole group) are less stonger than Seiko's, and as you say that the water resistant is a big problem. According to my opinions, so why did I buy the watch above? The answer is simple. Although I don't think it's a strong watch, But I like its color that I can wear it to fit other colorful clothes.

um... but since swatch has combined with many great brand, perhaps it is the company with the best technologies. But... swatch itself aim at low-end market, so it seldom give good watches.
for seiko, I think it is a good watch company too. It is more like a normal watch company. I prefer those more expensive models of seiko. |

also, i am not asking flik flak. Sorry if I have misleaded you.
I know some people said water resistant 30M is not suitable for swimming. But i have seen from flik flak website that it can swim and put into washing machine. So how about the watches with the brand name 'swatch'? They are also 30M water resistant. Can I go swimming with them? |

I also prefer some models of Seiko, some models are very
unique (ex:BRIGHT......etc)  .
Look around the history of Seiko, Seiko made the first watch that made by titanium in 1970, and recently its technological advances are remakable. (ex: Spring drive) 
And if you wear Swatch's watch (these kinds of type just like the watch above ) to go swimming, this may makes it brocken. The water-resistant performance of this kind of Swatch's are not good enough (to put it into water or take a shower with it ) I think.

what's bright series?
Actually There are many series about seiko that i do not know the details. i know seiko 5, seiko 5 sports, and seiko 5 superior. Also, I know 'automatic'. I do not know the details of each series. I do not know 'Bright' also. Also, I have read a book, that the original swatch was tested by wearing the whole day, including bathing and swimming. After long period of time, the watch is still working. And I have tried to ask staff of swatch shop, they said normal swatch, excluding skin series, can go swimming, but not diving. |

also, after one month of using, I discover that the swatch has the accurcy of about 21 seconds increase each day. The fluctuation is not big.
Is it acceptable for an ETA movement? |

You know that Swatch has a little bit difficult to open the back and do the adjustment works like Seiko 7s26 can be. My 7s26 gains <10sec per day after lots of efforts had been done. But I am not sure it can keep water proof on an opened Swatch. That's why I just leave it there. |
