The "logo" Luminor, so-called because of its use of the distinctive "OP" logo on the dial has a 44mm stainless steel case, with a black dial. It displays hours and minutes only, using a UT 6497 movement. It's closest contemporary relative is a Luminor Base.
677 normal watches sold by Officine Panerai SpA. A total of 889 watches were made, with 12 reworked as SlyTech Submersible 5218-201/A, 95 reworked as SlyTech Submersible 5218-205/A and 105 reworked as SlyTech Daylight 5218-207/A. street price....... about 13000USD..... but only if you can find one..... |

There are some legitimate sellers with the original LOGO for sell, but recently, there have been some scammers that are selling watches that aren't even thiers. So, be careful when you see one on the market. Make sure you ask lots of reference of that seller. Keep in mind that you are buying your seller's credit not his product. You can't get yourself a BNIB 5218-201 on the market nowadays. peace Fred |

Hello Fred, Thanks for the message. I am new here about Panerai and just curious how Panerai is so attractive to so many Paneristis. I did some studies and find something interesting. This topic is just one of my question marks. Thank you so much for the reply. Some more questions, who is " Mario Paci "? Where is he located now? He got a Logo for sale or....? Also would you mind telling me ( or PM me) that ... who is the " someone" try to sell Mario Paci's Logo, and, what is the meaning of " you can't get yourself a BNIB 5218-201 on the market nowadays." Mario Paci was the Chief Engineer in Panerai back in the day. He owns a 5218-201 logo with #1 on the serial number, and recently a scammer is selling a 5218-201 on the market with serial number #1....Mario has no intention to sell his. Since this watch was made more than 10 years ago, the chance of you getting a brand new one is near impossible. Hope this helps Peace Fred |

Thank you for the info. I found some info about Mario Paci from the internet but mostly not in English. Do you have any idea of how many 5218-201 belongs to Taiwan's Paneristi? Any other info will be welcome and appreciated. Thank you again. Brian |
