|
切•格瓦拉 Ernesto Che Guevara (1928-1967) 對台灣人來說，可能是個完全陌生的人。然而，對海峽彼岸的華人來說，他可是個聲名如雷貫耳的人物。被西方和拉丁美洲國家冠以「紅色羅賓漢」、「共産主義的堂•吉訶德」等稱號的 Che Guevara，早在 20 世紀的 60 年代，他的名字就已傳揚世界，他傳奇般的經歷鼓舞和影響了無數渴求脫離苦難而奮鬥的人。很少革命英雄、特別是被視為共產主義革命份子典型 (Commie Pinko) 的人能像他一樣，跨越信仰、意識形態、種族、文化等鴻溝，在全世界人民，特別是在青年人心中贏得崇高地位。
理想和英雄主義者
雖然名字不為台灣人所熟悉，但即使在死後 37 年的今日，你可能不知道切•格瓦拉的身影其實大概已經在你我心中留下過深刻的印象。古巴籍攝影師 Alberto Korda 艾伯多•柯爾達 (本名為 Alberto Diaz Gutierrez) 為 Che Guevara所拍攝的一張照片可以說是這世上複製、編改和散佈最頻繁的影像之一，從 T 恤、海報、壁畫、旗幟等等應有盡有。照片裏留著鬍鬚的他穿著軍服，頭戴貝蕾帽，氣宇軒昂的一張臉上摻雜著勇氣和痛苦。和其他偉大革命家一樣，為了打造理想世界，Che Guevara 一樣有著不可或缺的矛盾人格，他曉得為了人群和理想革命終究得犧牲生命，但是，也唯有如此他才得以不朽。Alberto Korda 的這張照片從細微之處透視並捕捉了一個如此接近死亡的革命家的神韻，即使不知道切•格瓦拉故事背景的年輕人，也能輕易從相片裡感受到理想、熱情、衝突和反叛揉合迸現的強大張力。More....
即使不知道 Che Guvara 的人，大概也看過 Che 的這張圖像
你可能不知道是 Che (友好之意) Guevara 其實是陳文茜和殷琪年輕時最崇拜的偶像，是南方朔先生口中所稱的「革命浪漫主義的最後偶像」。即便是今日看來仇共的民進黨，其中央黨部的政策委員會牆上也曾經赫然掛起過他肖像的巨大海報 (不知今日依舊在否？)。有趣的是，當時擔任主席的謝長廷不認識他，經過時問起：「這是誰？」副秘書長言午陽明不知道他是誰答說：「這個人一看就像中南美洲的恐怖分子」。只有做為民進黨的左翼 (今日可是極右翼的鷹派，造化弄人吧？) 代表的秘書長吳乃仁認識切•格瓦拉這位仁兄，畢竟新潮流系當年可是曾經懷抱著社會民主的理想的。

習醫的一個美洲士兵
姑不論 Che Guevara 在海峽兩岸的政治正確與否，我們無意也沒有能力為他的歷史意義定位。但可以確定的是他的一生和經歷精采燦爛，值得我們專文介紹。以在古巴搞社會主義革命聞名的他其實出生 (1928 年 6 月 14 日) 於阿根廷 (Rosario, Argentina) 一個資本家兼莊園主家庭，是家中的長子。1947 至 1953 年，切•格瓦拉在布宜諾斯艾利斯國立大學醫學系讀書，曾決心用醫道造福人類。1949 年，爲了取得研究痲瘋病和熱帶病的第一手資料，格瓦拉與同為醫學院畢業的阿爾貝托，靠騎著機車、自行車以及徒步，到全國各地進行實地考察。在考察中，他親眼目睹了印第安人的貧苦生活，加深了對被壓迫者的同情。九個月中，他們經常處在極度飢餓，或是極度寒冷（大多是飢寒交迫）的情況。在近乎苦行的旅程中，他見識到後殖民主義對南美鄉民的剝削，也間接地影響他日後投身革命志業的決定。旅途中，他們經常要面對旅費、海關、疾病等各項困難，而切和他的旅伴總是能以輕鬆的態度面對一一克服。旅途中遇到的人，無論是官員、醫生、印第安鄉民、痲瘋病人等，他們總能本著相同的態度與其交遊，期望能在旅程中得到最真實的體會。就在他為這段旅程所寫下的「革命前夕的摩托車之旅」一書 (大塊文化出版) 中，他在前言裡寫道：「寫這本日記的人，在他重新踏足阿根廷土地的那一天，就已經死了。組織與打磨過這本日記的那個我，早就不再是我；最少，現在的我，以不再是過去的那個我了。漫遊南美洲對我造成的改變，遠超過我所能預見」。
25 歲的格瓦拉以優異成績畢業，並獲得醫生資格。他原本可以獲得一份理想的職業，但他卻毅然選擇了到委內瑞拉首都加拉加斯一所痲瘋病人收容所工作。當他在布宜諾斯艾利斯車站與父母告別時，意味深長地說:「一個美洲士兵向你們告別了!」 此後，他到過處於民族革命高潮中的玻利維亞，接著進入秘魯，又橫穿中美洲，抵達瓜地馬拉。當時的瓜地馬拉在阿本斯總統領導下實行改革措施，卻遭到美國的反對。格瓦拉在那裏結識了一些反抗美國霸權的革命者，與他們一起保衛阿本斯政權。但阿本斯政府最終依舊被顛覆，而格瓦拉也上了美國中央情報局黑名單，被迫潛入革命者的避難所墨西哥。在瓜地馬拉的革命經歷，使格瓦拉認識到：單用醫道無法造福人類，必須發動革命、推翻反動獨裁統治才是正本清源之道，自此他便踏上革命份子的不歸路。
隨卡斯楚到古巴革命
在墨西哥逗留期間，格瓦拉城認識了來自古巴的費德爾•卡斯楚 Fidel Castro (及日後的古巴卡斯楚總統)。共同的志向使兩人一見如故，通宵暢談革命形勢和策略。在卡斯楚的再三邀請下，格瓦拉參加了正在組建中的古巴遠征軍，成爲這支遠征軍中最早的成員之一。1956 年 11 月 25 日淩晨，他聯同卡斯楚與 80 名古巴遠征軍成員在墨西哥灣悄悄登上了破舊的「格拉瑪」號遊艇，緩緩地向古巴出發。結果一登陸，就遭到古巴巴蒂斯塔政府軍的襲擊。結果，82 名遠征隊員中有 70 人喪生。格瓦拉作爲隨隊醫生，一面救死扶傷，一面參加戰鬥。在突圍的過程中，他的氣喘病復發，但他以頑強的毅力，和卡斯楚一起率餘部衝出重圍，轉移到馬埃斯特臘山區，創建了遊擊基地。
在往後兩年間，他參加了不少戰鬥並被任命爲第 2 縱隊司令，最後終於和卡斯楚密切配合，將古巴政府軍逐出了馬埃斯特臘根據地。隨後，格瓦拉乘勝揮師西進，並於 1959 年 1 月 4 日一舉攻佔首都哈瓦那。一時間，在古巴乃至整個中美洲地區，格瓦拉成了傳奇人物，被譽爲古巴起義軍中「最強勁的遊擊司令和遊擊大師」。他還獲頒古巴公民資格，並先後擔任過古巴土地改革全國委員會主任、國家銀行行長、工業部長、古巴統一革命組織全國委員會書記處書記等職務。
勇於擁抱理想、放棄權位的英雄
1965 年初，他代表古巴訪問中國大陸。當時中蘇關係惡劣，他遊說中國停止與蘇聯論戰，但建議未被接受。他帶著憂鬱回國，向工業部的工作人員彙報國外之行情況後，便給卡斯楚寫了告別信，辭去黨內外的一切職務、軍籍和軍銜。爲了避免連累古巴，他還宣佈放棄古巴國籍，從此在公衆場合消失。後來人們才知道，他到了非洲剛果指導當地的左派遊擊隊作戰，想在非洲的心臟地帶建立一個「新古巴」。但幾個月後他就失望離開，因爲他感到當地人不認真打仗，失敗是無法避免的。他回到古巴休整幾個月後，於 1966 年底帶領幾十個說西班牙語的外籍人潛入玻利維亞 Bilovia，在叢林中展開遊擊戰。
Che 抽著雪茄、戴著手錶的樣子令人難忘
格瓦拉最後一次作戰在玻利維亞，他領導自己的遊擊隊--玻利維亞民族解放軍，展開軍事行動。1967 年 10 月 8 日傍晚，他在尤羅山峽的戰鬥中受傷被俘，這個消息像閃電一樣迅速傳到了玻利維亞最高當局和美國中央情報局。次日黎明，玻利維亞武裝部隊司令親自乘直升飛機趕到現場，確認被俘者就是格瓦拉，並對其進行審訊。格瓦拉早已將生死置之度外，拒不回答任何問題。審訊一無所獲。最後審訊者問格瓦拉：「你現在想什麽? 」格瓦拉堅定地回答：「我在想，革命是永垂不朽的。」1967 年 10 月 9 日下午，審訊者因爲從格瓦拉口中得不到任何口供，於是將他槍殺，當時他年僅 39 歲。格瓦拉遇難後，被拍下照片，公佈他已經陣亡。其後還切下他的雙手，運往巴拿馬美軍南方司令部「驗明正身」。Che Guevara 至死不改初衷，誓做一個「靠窮人的祝福而跋涉不停的人，爲窮人的將來而告別過去的人」，不但成就了自己的理想，也成為當代熱血男人的典範。
在當年打退美國雇傭軍人侵古巴的吉隆灘戰役後，一位歐洲女記者在一旁觀察格瓦拉如何溫和地開導一個黑人俘虜兵時，感動得哭了起來。在玻利維亞尤羅山谷戰鬥中被俘後，Che Guevara 還向政府軍軍官要求讓他爲政府軍方面的傷員醫治傷口，即使他第二天就被政府軍殘酷地殺害了。有人認爲作爲一個個人，格瓦拉是偉大的，但是他所從事的事業是錯誤的。然而，Che Guevara 勇敢地實踐自己的戰略，以一支不足百人的隊伍對付世界上最強大的美國，做好了長期戰鬥和犧牲的準備，這種信念和勇氣，對於渴望正義的弱小者毋寧是一種永世的鼓舞。當然，他行為的影響只能留待時間去給以最終的澄清，甚至可能永遠無法得到正反拍板論定的斷論。但是綜觀他的一生，Che Guevara 成就了一種青春無悔、無可指責的美的行爲，至死為自己的理想奮鬥是 Che Guevara 一生的必然歸宿，也是他一生的光輝昇華。他當過八年的國家領導階層，卻一刻也未曾背叛過自己的初衷﹕他始終沒有成爲一個官，在他的身上沒有特權的陰影。看多了晚節不保的例子，無論是台灣人或是中國人應該都更能理解這種堅持的難能可貴。
格瓦拉的一生留下了一連串當官不像官的美麗傳說：他參加勞動可不是鏟一鍬土、種一顆樹而已。他砍甘蔗一砍就是一個月，於是被人照下了那張曬黑了臉、一副農民模樣的照片。他像礦工一樣赤著膊、光著腳下井視察工作，體驗工人們的勞動強度和工作條件，他捲起褲腳走向一個包含著艱苦和犧牲的開始。他不僅用自身的行動證明，也在各種場合不厭其煩地表達他的思想：「在革命逐步走向體制化的過程中，我們手中最主要的制動器是一種擔心。擔心任何一種形式的東西使我們脫離群衆、忽略具體的人，忘記革命的最高、最終理想是使人脫離異化，走向自由」。格瓦拉雖然不免走進死亡的陰影，但他獻身的行爲卻繁衍爲永恒的精神。格瓦拉對窮苦受壓迫民眾的赤子之愛，讓他在拉丁美洲的窮人中成就了塵世基督的形象。

英雄與他的手錶
在 Che Guevara 辭去古巴黨政高級領導職務並於一九六六年赴玻利維亞叢林打遊擊時，自願與他同行的有十六位古巴革命者，其中有四名古共中央委員，這十七人中沒有一個年滿三十五歲，而且都有家室和子女，後來這十七人中有十四人英勇犧牲。他們分別給親人們留下了深情的告別信，Che Guevara 在出征玻利維亞前留給孩子們的信中寫著﹕「你們應當永遠對世界上任何地方發生的任何非正義的事情，都能産生最強烈的反感，這是一個革命者最寶貴的品質」。遊擊戰士在犧牲前如果來得及，都會將自己的手錶摘下，請 Che Guevara 轉交給他們的子女。一九六七年九月，也就是在切•格瓦拉犧牲前一個月，有人記錄到在他的背包裏共有四只手錶。

而 Che Guevara 自己配戴的是一只 Rolex 的 Submariner，他留下的影像紀錄裡有不少是他戴著 Submariner 的模樣。即使身為一個能和民眾同甘共苦的革命鬥士，格瓦拉並沒有放棄他對手錶品質和品味的堅持，一如身受氣喘痼疾所苦的他，不曾放棄對古巴雪茄的熱愛一樣。Submariner 堅固強悍、防水抗塵的特性切合了 Che Guevara 在叢林裡作戰穿梭的需要。即使不曾親身領會格瓦拉的人格和風采，每一個看過戴著 Submariner 的 Che Guevara 身影的人，很少有能不被這樣的影像所呈現出的完美印象所感動的。據信在 Che Guevara 被槍殺後，玻利維亞的美國 CIA 頭子 Felix Rodriguez 取走了他的 Rolex 手錶，作為自己的戰利品，並在接下來的幾年內隨身佩戴，經常對著採訪的記者展示。
